Erich Mendelsohn: Personal philosophy of Dynamism
Neri Oxman: Nature doesn't offer forms, but processes
Electroliquid Aggregation: Constant change (dynamism) is reflected through the processes that nature offers
The three texture images (light to
dark) in the animated texture that represents “constant change”
(dynamism). The looping of the textures reflect the constant
processes that occur in nature. The rectangular prism also forms a
“loop”, showing an infinite process/cycle.
The two meeting points are on two
levels of the monument, each with a different experience of the
surrounding environment and own unique way of arriving there. The
flooring texture also represents a “cycle”, how nature builds
from the basics.
I chose a winter environment because
the seasonal transition that happens from the middle of winter to
spring is a significant process that nature performs. The form of the
animated texture shows nature as a dynamic force that is
unpredictable.
